To Take [[ ou n'apporter pas ]] -?-?-?-

Okay ...

Not really much to update on since my last entry...Apart the fact that the new Make Your Mark competition them is -

Wait for it ::

Viva La France

Yup...you read correctly. I laughed when I saw that - haha, just my luck :P.

Anyway, this morning I woke up, did the usual before going to school etc. etc. Went into the kitchen got myself some soy yogurt (hm, let's just say there's a first time for everything; although I'm not so sure I want to visit Blueberry SoyLife yogurt a second time :S). So I'm making my way to the dining table yadayada...But something catches my eye - an envelope with the SEA logo on it.

"Hm, I wonder what this could be", I wonder.

*Imagine me attempting to open the letter - very badly - and then panicking, thinking that I've ripped the contents as well as the envelope*

SEA letter:

"...Keep an eye out over the next few months for gifts you can take with you to give to your new friends and family. The obvious choice is Australian souvenirs [haha, French word! Meaning "memories", cool eh?] that you buy in advance. But keep the costs low, you might also think about alternatives that won't break the bank and are light and easy to pack. Previous participants have suggested such things as bundles of post cards, stick pins or bracelet charms. Tiny Australian flags or long tubes of mini koalas are pretty easily found at major markets and tourist spots around the country. You might like to track down some Aussie scarves, soaps, calenders, t-towels, maps or flyers about local attractions - all of which pack well and won't take up too much of your precious airline baggage allowance..."

Okay, so as far as SEA knew - I was way ahead of them. I've assessed and observed my host family (hehe, no I'm not a stalker...I've just been paying close attention to what each member has said about the other).

Here's the list I made earlier [[ hope it helps any other Aussie exchange students :D ]]:

Tim Tams
Milo
Vegemite
Furry Friends
Carmelo Koalas
Eucalyptus lollies
Darrel Lea Licorice
Lamington Recipe
ANZAC Biscuit Recipe
Flakes
Violet Crumble
Cherry Ripe

Mini koalas
Boomerang
Lizard toy
Koala toy
Australian Flag
Wombat toy

Billabong clothing
Roxy clothing
Australian beach towel
Australian thongs

Right now, I'm thinking the food is a must! And don't worry - I'll be sure to post some pics of my host family and peers when they first taste Vegemite (ou, chocolat d'Australie!!!) for you all.

Hehe - finally a blog entry that's a more reasonable length; although probably not as entertaining as the others, sorry :P - you'll have to stay tuned and see what I have in store for you next time! Haha, I'm tired, I just spent twelve hours at school.

I leave you all to...zzzZZZ

Bonne nuit!
