: : Ready, set... [[ 28 more sleeps to go ]] : :

Okay, so I'm ready...I'm set...but can't yet go... : (

My mum, after watching "Taken" was a bit worried about my well-being when I'm in France...And it kind of made it worse when I told her that I would most likely be taking the train without adult supervision to Soissons. So being the mother she is, she called the person in charge of the French exchange students, Melissa, and asked how I was getting to my destination and when. And yes. I was indeed right about travelling on my own to Soissons...to say the least, mum wasn't too happy...whoops?

Okay, so I've figured out that the day I leave to France, I will endure approximately...28 hours of flying (and that's at least!...But don't trust me on that one, ehehe).

The good thing (apart from the final destination of course...!) is that all in all, I only lose four hours, haha...

Melbourne - Sydney (four hour stop-over...oh, well, extra beauty sleep *wink wink*)

Sydney - Bangkok (haha, as my friend said, I should pick up an authentic English accent before I leave)

Bangkok - London

London - Paris
Paris - Soissons (by train and car)

: : Deuxieme [[ *happy face* ]] : :

YAY! I did it again!...

I placed in Make Your Mark! But this time, one better - SECOND!

Yes...just thought I would update on my progress...

FYI, Marine and I are now suffering serious head trauma from : :

1. Doing air guitar on webcam

2. Doing the Rock n' Roll hairography (haha - quoted from Glee)

3. ...and just being crazy in general *wink wink*

[[ I'll explain later ]]

Hm, okay, so...explanation time ☺.

Well last night I signed onto MSN and noticed that Marine was Busy. However, sure enough I received a message from her ☺. I don't know what we talked about first...a mixture of Franglais, I'm sure...and a lot of confusion along the way aussi.

So anyway, we had a number of amusing moments:

1. Combien d'écharpes as-tu?

: :
Hm, let's just say that I was a bit worried that I wouldn't find enough winter clothes in time for when I depart for Soissons *MASSIVE grin*...so I kind of went on a bit of a scarf buying spree...hehehe. : :

So...let's just say that I bought four (...I think...maybe five?), already having two...with an additional two on the way from my grandma (thank you Nanny ♥ ☺ ♥). Hm, so that adds up to ten/eleven. Yes, a lot, I know. But my plan is to get as many as possible (yes, I know...I probably have enough to saffice ☺) so that if I end up not finding enough winter clothes (might I add that they are very rare to come across in the middle of a 40*C summer in AUSTRALIA) I can just wear the same thing eeeeeevery day and change my scarve to give the illusion that I'm not just a one hit wonder when it comes to outfits *nervous laughter*.

So, in response to my question, Marine turned on her webcam and in the background she had all her scarves lined up on her bed. I watched as she laughed and counted each scarf...one. two. three. four. five. six. seven. Haha, and she then proceeded to tell me not to worry as she does not wear them all at once. I joked that she'll drown in scarves rather than water (haha, lame joke I know...but she is a fish...technically...☺)...That was somewhat reassuring though - that I have more than enough scarves...YAY!

2. Oh, so you have wet hair?

: :
Okay, so even though I told Marine that I would never admit this to anyone...I will for the sake of this blog. : :

Well, Marine told me that she had wet hair (which I could see ☺), so I told her that to dry my hair I do that "rockstar head-shake move thingymabob". Anyway, we proceeded to both stand up, count to three and then do it together...haha, yes, we are odd ones, eh?

3. Tu peut dire en français, si te plaît?

: : Don't ask me how we stumbled upon the topic of sound effects...but we managed, even if it was in Franglais... : :

So, Marine asked me to say, "MUAHAHAHA!"...So, j'ai dit MUAHAHAHA pour Marine...which was followed by a lot of laughing from the two of us. Then [[ enter (3.) here ]]...let's just say that I was literally rolling on the floor laughing...okay, maybe not quite so literally, ehe. But there were tears...I assure you of that. After clearing her throat a few times Marine had let out the funniest/best MUAHAHAHA I have ever heard!!!

So, after our MUAHAHAHA's and our giggling, we got onto the topic of "Bah bow's" - ie. that sound when something goes wrong in the cartoons or on an arcade game of some sort. So I did mine, she did hers...Hers was probably a million times better than mine though, haha...she did the whole "bwah bwah bwow-ow" which was fantastique!

4. La Bataille de MUAHAHAHA's

: :
Oh yes, we did have fun with those MUAHAHAHAs, hehe. : :

Randomly through our conversation, Marine decided to play a "MUAHAHAHA" that she had found...haha, you should have seen my face - :O :S : ( :D :O : ) :O :S : (
Yes, 'twas rather funny... ☺
Anyway, Marine had to go and do the dishes (I think...) so while she was gone I put my "MUAHAHAHA searching skills" to the test and came up with this:

MUAHAHAHAHA

5. Somewhere Only We Know et My Heart Will Go On

: :
Marine sang Somewhere Only We Know for my mum and me! I love it when she sings it! Too bad the audio stuffed up a bit, but it was still worth it with my mum and I swaying to the music ☺ hehe. Then I asked whether she wanted to sing My Heart Will Go On with my mum, and she jumped at the oppertunity. Again, the sound stuffed up a bit so Mum ended up doing some solo work for her ☺ : :

I then explained to Marine that my mum is who I get my craziness from, she laughed...but I'm pretty sure she agreed with me too ; ).

: : Noël [[ Qu'acheter pour Noël...? ]] : :

Well, as you are all aware...Christmas (haha, yes, I know, probably went a bit overboard with the Christmas colours...I got a little excited that you can now change individual letter colours, okay?!) is fast approaching...
"Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way...Oh what fun it is to ride in a once horse open slay, (oh-so-enthusiastic---) HEY! Jingle bells, Jingle bell...[[ you get the gist ]]"

Haha - only those who have watched the video of me singing that on Facebook will see the hilarity of me posting it...which I don't think is any of you guys...so anyway, I am having a dilemma.

DILEMMA: whether or not to buy my host family a Chrismas present to send over to France...and if I do (I think I will...) whether or not I buy a gift for each individually or as a whole family. En plus I have no idea what to buy them!
Okay so a bit of extra info : :

Today I found out that when I was away on camp with my year level, my mum and sister went out to buy my host mum (I'm assuming they had the best intentions of including my host dad too ☺) a Christmas present..Marine, si tu es lisant ça, t'arrêtes si te plaît ☺☺☺ merci

They decided on an Australian calander with Australian Scenery and such from themselves. Haha, my mum even referred to Sandrine (host mum) as Mrs. Marine...I guess I mention her too much...whoops? The excitement is brewing a little too much, I think...

Anyway, so I had a book voucher to Thesaurus (book shop) for $30 (haha, sorry about the useless info...I wonder if you still have the pillow handy...*wink wink*) and got the book I wanted etc. etc. Mum found this miniture book of Melbourne photography that we're going to send with the calander. In it were photos of places such as Luna Park and the Art's Centre, etc.

So yes...it looks like I will be getting my host family Christmas presents (YAY!) but I still need to work out whether I should buy Marine and Aurore's presents separately...and if so what to buy them. I would absolutely love to buy them each their own presents...but then there's cost etc. Hm...decisions decisions. It might be a great way to repay their generosity with the package they sent me earlier ♥. Oh, I also bought them each Christmas cards ☺. I'll scan them and post them...well I think they're cute ☺.
